Life Fitness, (one of the worlds leading suppliers of fitness equipment) launched their 2014 Personal Trainers to Watch Competition yesterday, July 1st. Now in its 4th year this competition has gained recognition and support across the leisure industry on a worldwide basis. The competition is open to all qualified personal trainers world wide and last year they received almost 1,500 entrants from across 43 nations according to Chris Clawson, President of Life Fitness (source: IHRSA).

The competition whittles applications down to 10 Elite Personal Trainers To Watch who then compete in a live judging event before a global winner is announced. The overall winner not only receives the kudos of this prestigious award but also wins $5,000 towards their PT business. Last years winner, Kim Ingleby hails from Bristol and won this achievement before her 10th Year in business. She is one of the judges in this years competition alongside Joanne Blackerby – the 2012 winner, Christopher Clawson – Life Fitness President, Anthony J. Wall – American Council on Exercise, Richard Beddie – Exercise Association of New Zealand and finally  Alexis Batrakoulis – EuropeActive.

Entries are open until 31st July and while obviously it would be great to be nominated by a client lets be honest how often would they be browsing the Life Fitness website?! You are of course allowed to nominate yourself and I would encourage each and every one of you to do this. Enter here now and lets put Ireland on the map!

Don’t forget to use their hashtag #PTtoWatch and to follow them on social media to keep up to date on the competitions progress.
